Mark Scantlebury

Mark Scantlebury, BASc., P.Eng.

President and Chief Executive Officer

Mark graduated with a BASc in Electronics Systems Engineering and a minor in Computer Science from the University of Regina in 2001. After stops at Wi-LAN Inc. and Matrikon Inc., Mark joined ETC in 2006 where he quickly became the VP, Software Engineering before being appointed to the role of President. In early 2013, Mark completed a management buyout to become the majority shareholder and assumed the role of President and CEO. In his 10 years at ETC, Mark has worked to improve plunger lift reliability, safety, and optimization which has resulted in 4 submitted patents.

Valens D’Silva

Valens D’Silva, BSc., P.Eng.

Chief Technical Officer

Valens holds an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and is a member of APEGA. He brings to Extreme Telematics more than 15 years’ experience in electronics design in consumer wireless devices and personal safety products for industrial applications. Outside of work, Valens loves to cook, is an avid traveler and outdoorsman, and also enjoys soccer and canoeing.


Kynan Larson

Kynan Larson, CPA, CGA.

Chief Financial Officer

Kynan is a Certified General Accountant and a born and raised Calgarian. He has well over a decade of experience in senior financial and operational positions, working primarily with oil and gas service companies. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his young family in Okotoks and coaching youth tackle football.

Tyson Hoffman

Tyson Hoffman

Chief Operating Officer

Tyson holds a technical degree and is a Lean Six-Sigma Black Belt. His 15 years experience have been focused on operational excellence with a keen eye for improvement. He is process focused and specializes in process development, quality and manufacturing using various industry standards. Through working with Honeywell Analytics, Fujitsu Microelectronics, Teledyne and other smaller companies Tyson has gained valuable insight into operational process, product quality and consistent delivery. In his spare time Tyson enjoys fishing and spending time with his wife and 2 young daughters.
